Director, Account Management

At Koneksa Health, we are focused on using new technologies to improve clinical research and drug development. We help leading life sciences companies and research hospitals remotely capture real-world data from patients. Our projects deploy digital health technologies such as FDA approved activity trackers, wearable vital sign monitors, and other emerging monitoring devices that capture data outside the clinical and laboratory setting. We are developing digital  biomarkers that help our customers make faster decisions, often using smaller studies, with technologies that enhance the experience of the patients who participate. We're on a constant quest to improve the tools and endpoints that are used to get the right new therapies to patients who need them.

We are seeking to hire a Director of Account Management with 5+ years of relevant experience to support our sales activities. A successful candidate will have experience selling technology and service solutions in life sciences, with a focus on developing solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech companies to use in their clinical trials and programs.

This role reports into the Head of Business Development.  The Director, Account Management role will normally include significant travel commitments. Koneksa is based in New York but remote candidates will be considered.


  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the sales process from lead generation to sales closure, including capabilities and bid defense presentations
  • Develop an account plan for strategic accounts and report on plan progress throughout the plan year
  • Responsible for entry and maintenance of required data in the pipeline management system related to sales activities, pipeline and contracts
  • Represent Koneksa at industry-related conferences and trade shows
  • Work with product and customer success teams to respond to RFI’s and RFP’s from assigned accounts
  • Build and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders with customer teams to facilitate repeat Koneksa business
  • Manage bid defense and capabilities meetings with assigned accounts

Your Skills / Background: 

  • Previous success in a previous role selling complex technology and service solutions to pharma and biotech companies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present customer proposals confidently
  • Ability to produce a territory/ account plan and execute the plan to achieve the annual sales target
  • Ability to build and manage own sales funnel and pipeline to accurately forecast sales achievement
  • Strong planning and organization skills, able to plan and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Your Education & Experience:

  • 5+ Years’ experience using in a direct sales role in the life sciences industry
  • 5+ Years’ experience working with Technology in Clinical Research
